Basketball Recap: Yuma Piles Up the Points Against San Luis

While Yuma didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by the San Luis Sidewinders to the tune of 54-26 on Tuesday. The Criminals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Yuma has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for San Luis, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Yuma and Desert Sunrise will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for San Luis, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Point at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
