Softball Recap: West Hancock Takes a Loss

West Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 30th.

West Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Hancock will face off against rival North Union at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura is set to take on their familiar foe Belmond-Klemme at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
