Softball Game Preview: Marion County Eagles vs. Miller County Pirates

The Marion County Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Miller County Pirates at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Miller County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion County, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Marion County beat Shaw 12-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Haleigh Frazier was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Barrow, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Marion County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shaw struck out eight times.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Miller County's offense. They lost 12-0 to Cook on Thursday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Miller County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
