Basketball Recap: Romy D'addario Key Part of a Team Effort in Vikings Win

Campbell Hall won the last time they faced Xavier Prep and things went their way on Saturday too. The Campbell Hall Vikings walked away with a 61-54 victory over the Xavier Prep Saints. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Saints are ranked 659th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campbell Hall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Romy D'Addario, who went 9 of 11 on her way to 18 points along with eight boards and four steals. D'Addario is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Poppy Silverstein, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Campbell Hall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Xavier Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Grace Thomsen, who posted 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Thomsen, who put up 19 points.

Campbell Hall's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Xavier Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Campbell Hall will face off against Thousand Oaks at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Xavier Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-28 defeat against Esperanza on the 28th.
