Broughton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Cary Imps by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Capitals, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-28, 25-17, 25-15.

Broughton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cary, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broughton will challenge Rolesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Capitals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Cary, they will take on East Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
