Baseball Game Preview: Troup County Tigers vs. Pickens Dragons

For the second straight game, Troup County will face off against Pickens. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Troup County 3.1, Pickens 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Troup County heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pickens by a score of 5-4. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Pickens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Troup County, their defeat dropped their record down to 29-8.
