Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake Takes a Loss

Clear Lake lost against Pearland back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oilers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Clear Lake was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pearland work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-15.

Landry Youngdahl paced Clear Lake's offense, picking up five kills. Youngdahl got some help from Peyton Aldridge and her 13 assists. Morgan Regner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Pearland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Clear Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Needville on the 23rd. As for Pearland, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Friendswood on the 23rd.
