Baseball Game Preview: Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish vs. Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils

The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish will take on the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Notre Dame Prep has 19 straight wins, Grosse Pointe South has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Notre Dame Prep's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Clintondale with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Grosse Pointe South's defeat dropped their record down to 21-17. As for Notre Dame Prep, their win bumped their record up to 31-4.

Everything went Notre Dame Prep's way against Grosse Pointe South in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Notre Dame Prep made off with a 6-0 victory.
