Soccer Recap: Washington Find Success

Washington's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Irvington Vikings a 5-0 shutout. Ava Garcia was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win got Washington back to even at 6-6-1. As for Irvington, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will host Mission San Jose at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Irvington, they will welcome Newark Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
