Softball Recap: Bishop Kelley Comes Up Short

Bishop Kelley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Chandler Lions.

Bishop Kelley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Perla Saldivar, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Maddie Bond also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Bishop Kelley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chandler, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bishop Kelley will be playing at home against Collinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Comets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Chandler, they will head out on the road to challenge Muskogee at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 0.8, the Roughers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
