Baseball Recap: Schaumburg Comes Up Short

Schaumburg couldn't beat Buffalo Grove on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Saxons fell just short of the Bison by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Saxons have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Schaumburg and nudges their season record down to 11-9. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Buffalo Grove, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-14.

While Schaumburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
