Washington-Liberty blew Herndon out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Herndon got their revenge. The Generals fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 4-2. The Generals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jack Keane made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Frymoyer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Washington-Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Herndon, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Washington-Liberty is set to face off against their familiar foe Wakefield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Herndon will challenge rival Yorktown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
