Roosevelt waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 58-29 stomp they got against the Burroughs Burros. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Burroughs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jhavmine Ave, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Ave is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyla Baird, who posted nine points.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Burroughs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-48 loss against Flintridge Prep on the 27th. As for Burroughs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-41 win against Temescal Canyon on the 27th.
