Softball Recap: Bennington Badgers vs. Blair Bears
Bennington extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 11-13. They came up short against the Blair Bears, falling 14-4. If the Badgers were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Bears when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Bennington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrienne Trebil, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
As for Blair, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 23-8. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Blair's side, the team relied heavily on Regan Blattert, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Blattert has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Laynie Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Bennington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-2 loss against Waverly on the 4th. As for Blair, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Gross Catholic on the 9th.
