Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Eagles vs. Quartz Hill Royals

Lancaster is 9-1 against Quartz Hill since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Lancaster Eagles will host the Quartz Hill Royals at 5:00 p.m. Lancaster is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Lancaster beat Eastside 53-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Alena Wilson was her usual excellent self, putting up 40 points in addition to eight assists and six steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Tolbert, who posted six steals.

Meanwhile, Quartz Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rosamond on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory.

Quartz Hill is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Lancaster, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Everything came up roses for Lancaster against Quartz Hill in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-39 victory. Does Lancaster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Quartz Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
