Soccer Game Preview: Cabrillo vs. Millikan

Cabrillo is 0-10 against Millikan since December of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Cabrillo Jaguars will look to defend their home pitch against the Millikan Rams at 5:30 p.m.

Cabrillo is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lakewood on Tuesday. Cabrillo fell just short of Lakewood by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Jaguars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Millikan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Jordan a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Bella Nunez was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Millikan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Cabrillo, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Cabrillo suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Millikan when the teams last played back in January. Can Cabrillo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
