Football Recap: Tough Loss for Circle

Circle had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 36-14 to the Pratt Fighting Frogs on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Cade Liggett put on a one-man show for Pratt, rushing for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns on only 15 carries. The 245 yards were his most since at least September 5th last year, when he rushed for 245 vs. Circle. Another player making a difference was Kipton Smith, who threw for 13 yards.

Circle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Pratt, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Circle and Pratt will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Thunderbirds will face off against their in-conference opponent Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pratt is set to challenge their familiar foe Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
