Baseball Game Preview: Landmark Christian War Eagles vs. The Weber School Rams

The Landmark Christian War Eagles will challenge The Weber School Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Landmark Christian has three straight wins, The Weber School has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Landmark Christian is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since April 17, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Paideia, sneaking past 6-5.

Luke Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Landmark Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Niles Redrick, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Ellis, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, The Weber School didn't have quite enough to beat Walker on Monday and fell 5-4.

The Weber School now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Landmark Christian, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Landmark Christian took their victory against The Weber School when the teams last played back in February of 2019 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Landmark Christian repeat their success, or does The Weber School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
