Softball Recap: Morse Tigers vs. Mount Miguel Matadors        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Morse gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mount Miguel Matadors as the Morse Tigers made off with  a  15-1 win. The  victory was just what Morse needed coming off of  a  12-1 loss in their prior  matchup.
  Alyssa Truby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Truby was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Melody Wheatley was a standout: she scored three  runs while going 3-for-4.  Camryn Salvador was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 On Mount Miguel's side, they saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Savannah Carranza, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Morse's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Mount Miguel, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-5.
 Morse will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against San Ysidro at 4:00  p.m. As for Mount Miguel, they have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Montgomery at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Mount Miguel is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game this season.
