Basketball Recap: Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-38 bruising from the Hoover Cardinals. The Caimans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Hoover's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jewel Parker led the charge by putting up 16 points. Parker's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aniya Felder, who posted 15 points.

Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hoover, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-42 victory against Valley Center on the 16th. Hoover has also already played their next contest, a 52-45 win against Santa Fe Christian on the 14th.
