Screven County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Portal Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 last Tuesday.

Screven County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Portal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Screven County will challenge Metter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Portal, they will square off against Bryan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
