Basketball Recap: Lanesville Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lanesville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 67-56 to the South Knox Spartans on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Lanesville lost, don't look at Hadley Crosier. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-20 to rack up 27 points and five assists. The matchup was Crosier's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Hylton Brumley was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Lanesville's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for South Knox, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-2.

Lanesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Knox, they will face off against Parke Heritage at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. South Knox knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 27 games -- so hopefully Parke Heritage likes a good challenge.
