Soccer Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine managed to keep up with Portola until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Irvine Vaqueros lost 4-0 to the Portola Bulldogs. The Vaqueros have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Irvine's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Portola, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

Irvine will challenge Sage Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Portola, they will take on St. Margaret's at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portola is facing St. Margaret's at the right time seeing as St. Margaret's is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
