Basketball Recap: Kate Boerner and Caitlin Mccarthy Secure Win for Episcopal Academy

Episcopal Academy came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the William Penn Charter Quakers 51-33 on Tuesday. For the Churchmen, this counts as revenge for the 36-34 win the Quakers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2025.

Episcopal Academy was led to victory by Caitlin McCarthy and Kate Boerner. McCarthy posted 12 boards and five steals, while Boerner earned six rebounds and four steals. McCarthy is becoming a predictor of the Churchmen's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when she doesn't).

Episcopal Academy's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7. As for William Penn Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
