Softball Recap: Statesboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Statesboro finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 16-2 to the Effingham County Rebels. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost three in a row.

Statesboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Mincey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Statesboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Effingham County, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rebels beat Statesboro by a score of 15-0 later that day.
