Baseball Game Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets

For the second straight game, Chapin will face off against T.L. Hanna. The Eagles will take on the Yellow Jackets on Saturday. Chapin is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Chapin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: T.L. Hanna, who was ranked 21st at the time (Chapin was ranked 11th). The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Thursday.

Chapin got a great performance from Griff Harper as he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Harper has posted since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Felix Flecha Ruiz, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for T.L. Hanna and nudges their season record down to 18-18. As for Chapin, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
