Recap: West Branch Warriors vs. Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels
The West Branch Warriors lost to the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels back in February, but the West Branch Warriors didn't allow the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Everything went West Branch's way against Moshannon Valley as West Branch made off with a 41-18 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Branch.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Branch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Mertz, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Guglielmi, who scored eight points along with six assists and five steals.
West Branch's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Moshannon Valley, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch will take on Williamsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Williamsburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Moshannon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Glendale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
