Basketball Recap: Clearfield Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Clearfield won the last time they faced Tyrone and things went their way on Monday too. The Clearfield Bison secured a 59-54 W over the Tyrone Golden Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Clearfield was led to victory by Sonny Diehl and Hannah Glunt. Diehl dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards, while Glunt dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Diehl's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Eve Helsel was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Clearfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Tyrone, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Clearfield will take on Westmont Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tyrone, they will square off against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
