Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bluffton

Bluffton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Fort Wayne Canterbury on Friday. The Tigers never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Grayson Crowder was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trevor Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

The win (which was Bluffton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
