Basketball Recap: Ariella Henigan Key Part of Team Effort in Broncos Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kenwood had no problem doing just that on Monday. They took down the Marist RedHawks 62-48. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 54-45 win the RedHawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Kenwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariella Henigan led the charge by putting up 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most boards Henigan has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Diann Jackson, who went 7-for-9 on her way to 20 points and eight rebounds.

Kenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive games.

Kenwood's record now sits at 33-3. As for Marist, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 26-9 record.

As of now, neither Kenwood nor Marist have any future games scheduled.
