Westlake has gone 8-2 against Lake Travis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chaparrals will host the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Westlake sitting on six straight victories and Lake Travis on seven.

On Friday, Westlake made easy work of Bowie and carried off a 30-7 win. Considering the Chaparrals have won five games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Lake Travis faced Dripping Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cavaliers walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Tigers. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Cavaliers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Westlake better keep an eye on Vann Hopping. He was instrumental in Lake Travis' win, rushing for 69 yards and one score, while also picking up 34 receiving yards.

Westlake's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lake Travis, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Westlake beat Lake Travis 24-17 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Chaparrals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
