Softball Recap: Plant City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverview last Tuesday, Plant City came back down to earth. The Plant City Raiders lost 8-0 to the Bloomingdale Bulls on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Plant City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Raines, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.

Plant City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Bloomingdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Plant City will take on Fort Meade in a tournament on Friday. Bloomingdale will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Durant at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Durant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
