The biggest upset of the week belonged to Coon Rapids, who defeated 32nd ranked Centennial, 23-20.
Maple Grove extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Suburban this week by beating Champlin Park, 34-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Crimson.
Connor Wilkie threw for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 13-15 with 0 interceptions.
DYLAN ELLINGSON made the biggest impact on defense this week as Anoka lost to Blaine. He forced 2 fumbles.
Chris Larson was the best wideout in the league this week as Andover defeated Robbinsdale Armstrong. Larson tallied 6 receptions for 167 yards. Justin Freyholtz helped Andover's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 54 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Huskies' Wilkie and Larson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-5 quarterback Wilkie has thrown for 2,055 yards this season, while Larson has 53 catches for 1,155 yards. The Rebels' Datrice Mulsumo leads the league in rushing yards with 1,020.
Maple Grove's Clark Wieneke needs only 74 yards against the Tornadoes next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 95 carries Wieneke has put up 926 yards this year.
At the moment, the Bengals are in fourth, while the Cougars are in sixth.
The Falcons fell to Andover 50-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
