Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Lower Moreland's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Lower Moreland hadn't done well against New Hope-Solebury recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lower Moreland Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Hope-Solebury Lions, sneaking past 44-42. This was a revenge game for Lower Moreland: when they faced off against New Hope-Solebury back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-42 defeat.

Lower Moreland has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for New Hope-Solebury, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-6.

When Lower Moreland and New Hope-Solebury next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lower Moreland will challenge Council Rock South and their 12-game winning streak at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, New Hope-Solebury will try to stop Cheltenham's six-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
