Football Recap: Elkhart Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elkhart lost against Springfield back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Longhorns and fell 46-14.

Springfield found their leader in sophomore Coltin Woodhouse, who rushed for 159 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 121 yards and one touchdown on only six passes. The Longhorns' leading receiver SLAYDE COHOON was Woodhouse's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and one score.

Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Springfield, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will take on Kinsley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Springfield, they will head out to challenge Hoehne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
