Soccer Game Preview: Kelseyville vs. Roseland University Prep

The Kelseyville Knights will take on the Roseland University Prep Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kelseyville will be strutting in after a victory while Roseland University Prep will be coming in after a loss.

Kelseyville's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cloverdale as Kelseyville made off with a 3-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Knights were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Roseland University Prep's offense. They came up short against Sonoma Academy on Thursday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Coyotes are ranked 185th).

Kelseyville's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 5-6-1. As for Roseland University Prep, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-2.

Kelseyville was able to grind out a solid win over Roseland University Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 2-0. Does Kelseyville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roseland University Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
