Recap: St. Andrew's Lions vs. Frederica Academy
The St. Andrew's Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Frederica Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Andrew's in their matchups with Frederica Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why St. Andrew's lost, one person who can't be blamed is Richaard Williams. Despite the final result, he gained 145 total yards and a touchdown.
It was another big night for Jordan Triplett, who rushed for 298 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Triplett was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rico Holmes, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
St. Andrew's bumped their record down to 5-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Frederica Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
St. Andrew's will face off against Tiftarea Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Frederica Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Terrell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Terrell Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
