Softball Recap: Flint River Academy Comes Up Short

If Flint River Academy was feeling good fresh off their 16-7 takedown of Upson-Lee two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Southland Academy Raiders on Monday, falling 11-3. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Taylor Callahan made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Kinley Rasbury was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Flint River Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Southland Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Flint River Academy will take on Twiggs Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
