Soccer Game Preview: Wheatland vs. Yuba City

The Wheatland Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Yuba City Honkers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheatland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Thursday, Wheatland and Center finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Yuba City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roseville. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 733rd, while the Tigers are ranked 81st).

Wheatland's draw makes their record 4-11-3 this season. As for Yuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1.
