Football Recap: Braydon Deere's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gloversville over Ichabod Crane

After flying high against Scotia-Glenville last Friday, Gloversville came back down to earth. The Huskies/Dragons fell just short of the Ichabod Crane Riders by a score of 28-25 on Friday. The Huskies/Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Riders from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Gloversville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braydon Deere, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Blaze Conyne also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.

Gloversville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Ichabod Crane, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gloversville will challenge rival Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ichabod Crane is set to face off against their familiar foe Scotia-Glenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
