Soccer Recap: Troy Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Troy won the last time they faced La Serna and things went their way on Monday too. The Troy Warriors were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the La Serna Lancers. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Lancers are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Troy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for La Serna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7-1.

Troy will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Santa Margarita at 12:00 p.m. Santa Margarita will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Troy surely won't give up without a fight. As for La Serna, they will head out to face off against South Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Hills' last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
