Softball Recap: Humboldt Takes a Loss

Humboldt was the 11-0 winner over Estherville Lincoln Central when they last played one another back in May of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midgets on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Humboldt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Benton on the 21st. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 21st.
