Basketball Recap: Minarets Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Minarets lost against Madera South back in December of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The contest between the Mustangs and the Stallions didn't end well, with the Mustangs falling 43-25. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madera South's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was GEORIYAH GATEWOOD, who posted eight points. GATEWOOD continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was CRYSTALINA BUITRON, who scored ten points.

Minarets' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madera South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Minarets will face off against Yosemite at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Madera South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 31-20 defeat against Mariposa County on the 6th.
