Football Recap: Mayer Lutheran Comes Up Short

Mayer Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 14-7 to the Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 23-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Gabriel Shimanski threw for 40 yards on eight of 17 attempts. On the ground, Cooper Eveslage rushed for 37 yards.

Mayer Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.

As of now, neither Mayer Lutheran nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
