After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rock Academy, the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Monday. They snuck past Guajome Park Academy with a 31-27 win. That's another feather in the cap for Gompers Prep Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gompers Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamariyah Mccollough, who scored nine points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mccollough has scored at least 25% of Gompers Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Nadia Mohamed, who scored seven points.
Gompers Prep Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Guajome Park Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
