It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bentley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the More Academy Crusaders 14-13. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Leonard, who went 4-for-6 with seven stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydenze Hurlburt, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bentley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bentley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for More Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bentley will welcome Everest Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Everest Collegiate has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.64 runs per game on average), something Bentley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for More Academy, they will be playing at home against CHASE at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Conquerors have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
