Soccer Game Preview: Fountain Valley vs. Katella

The Fountain Valley Barons will be taking part in a tournament against the Katella Knights at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Fountain Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Fountain Valley is headed into the game without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Costa Mesa could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 5-5 draw. An excellent three-goal performance from Katelyn Leach still wasn't enough to secure a win.

Meanwhile, Katella kept a clean sheet against Mayfield on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cubs.

Katella's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. Fountain Valley's draw makes their record 6-0-3 this season.
