With a playoff win on the line, Trion rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Lincoln County Red Devils. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Trion's fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.

Trion will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
