The Dons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. West Las Vegas wouldn't have won without Isaac Benavidez, who scored the game-winner.

West Las Vegas' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Belen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

West Las Vegas will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Portales at 4:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Belen, they will head out on the road to take on Moriarty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
