Softball Recap: Linn Drops Season-High Score on Owensville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linn). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Owensville Dutchmen an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Dutchmen: they've now won four in a row.

Sophia Voss was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Starke, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Linn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Linn's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Owensville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
